November is a great time to enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves of Japan, from Tohoku in the north to Kyushu in the south.
If visiting the Kanto region (where Tokyo is located), we recommend Nikko in Tochigi prefecture. The best time to see the autumn leaves in Nikko is from mid-October to late November.
