Sapporo Fushimi Inari’s torii gates

Say you’re in Hokkaido and you want to visit a nice shrine, but the famous Hokkaido Shrine is much too crowded. Why not go to the quiet but charming Sapporo Fushimi Inari Shrine!

Yes, the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine is in Kyoto. But now it's in Sapporo too!
This shrine was established in 1884 to enshrine the spirit of Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine, and in 1907 was authorized to be established as Sapporo's Fushimi Inari Shrine.

When it snows, you can enjoy the fantastic view of the Inari Shrine's torii gates fusing into the snowy landscape that only Hokkaido can offer. It's no exaggeration to say that this is Hokkaido's own version of Kyoto!

If you’re visiting Hokkaido, why not go to the Sapporo Fushimi Inari Shrine?
