One of the best spots to see Kyushu’s autumn landscape is Mount Aso.. It is the perfect place for nature lovers or those who need a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.  Mount Aso, the symbol of Kumamoto Prefecture, is the largest active volcano in Japan, and also one of the most active in the world. The Daikanbo lookout is a spectacular viewing point overlooking the entire Aso area. It gives a wonderful panoramic view of the town, especially on a sunny day.

This is a great place to enjoy the stunning view of the valley and the mountain range.  October and November are good times to travel.  We definitely recommend it to anyone who loves beautiful scenery!
